Welcome to the IGDN Blog

Introducing the voices of the Indie Game Developer Network

Intrepid creators, brave designers, and enthusiastic tabletop roleplaying fans, welcome to the start of the IGDN blog—a place where the collection of designers, writers, and other tabletop creators that make up the Indie Game Developer Network (IGDN) can share their experiences with the greater tabletop community.

This blog is not the IGDN itself speaking, but the voices of its members. The IGDN has an interesting and diverse membership from all corners of the tabletop industry, and we want to share those voices with you.

Every Wednesday you can expect something new from a different member of IGDN looking to share what they know. We will cover a variety of topics from how to start your marketing to world-building examples to in-depth discussions of tabletop mechanics. Check back often, as we will keep rotating topics, so while one week might not interest you, one of the following is sure to grab you and keep hold.

Why are we undertaking such a harrowing blog adventure? The IGDN is an international volunteer trade organization that supports indie game developers in their efforts to create, publish, and promote their games. Sharing what we know only helps the gaming community grow, and more good games can be created.

If you enjoy the work of a particular writer, please follow the links at the bottom of their article to their own site and take a look at their work, you’ll probably like other things they make as well.

We encourage you to get involved. If you are an IGDN member and would like to take part in the IGDN blog initiative, please email marketing@igdnonline.com. If you are not a member and would like to be, it’s easy to get involved—just email marketing@igdnonline.com with the subject line: “IGDN Membership”
